Fr om Monday, April 6, part of the KAMAZ"staff is going to resume the work. The decision was made by the company's CEO after consulting with the Republic's leadership and Federal authorities.KAMAZ is Russia's largest manufacturer of trucks, accounting for more than half of the country's entire truck fleet. KAMAZ vehicles of various modifications ensure the transport security of the country and the smooth functioning of socially important services, including law enforcement agencies, emergency departments, emergency medical services and commercial transportation. In the context of the spread of coronavirus and the measures taken to isolate the population, KAMAZ equipment is becoming a vital factor in the country's development to ensure the delivery of food and essential goods, as well as the transportation of medical equipment and the work of housing and communal services organizations.
In addition, KAMAZ is still the city-forming enterprise of the half-million city of Naberezhnye Chelny, its shutdown has a negative impact on the socio-economic situation in the city and the replenishment of the city and regional budgets. All this requires the resumption of work of KAMAZ.
"The functioning of KAMAZ will ensure an adequate response to the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection, stabilize the social situation, prevent an increase in the level of criminogenic situation and minimize the economic consequences of the introduction of restrictive measures, but most importantly – ensure the transport security of the country," - commented Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ PTC, on the resumption of production. "The production of KAMAZ vehicles, so necessary for the national economy of the country, is a significant contribution of the company to the overall fight against coronavirus."
At the same time, KAMAZ is aware that the situation with the spread of coronavirus in general continues to be difficult and requires additional security measures for the company's personnel. As one of the first companies in the country to take serious preventive measures against the pandemic, KAMAZ is strengthening them. In addition to the previously taken measures in the form of daily inspections of employees, disinfection of public areas and transport used for the delivery of employees, remote work of personnel will be organized in cases wh ere this is permissible. It will also introduce a flexible schedule for the start of production operations and the breeding of incoming employee flows.
