KAMAZ has won the tender to supply buses for Moscow

Within three years, KAMAZ PTC will make about 600 low-floor NEFAZ city buses to Mosgortrans.

A three-year contract, concluded between KAMAZ PTC and Mosgortrans SUE, provides the delivery of 596 units of restyled low-floor buses NEFAZ 5299-40-52, including thirty-buses with the instructor’s cab. In addition, under the terms of the contract, the company will train drivers and maintenance personnel in the features of service and operation of rolling stock.

The first 40 KAMAZ buses will be given to Moscow before the end of this year. In 2019, the company should supply 372 NEFAZ and also 184 units - in 2020.

"This year has become a landmark for us, as KAMAZ for the first time entered the Moscow market with the passenger transport. In spring we won a tender for the supply of electric buses to Mosgortrans, and only six months later we received a large order for a set of NEFAZ buses for the needs of the capital, – said Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ. "Thus, KAMAZ will take part in the renewal of the Moscow city bus fleet, and I hope that drivers and passengers will appreciate the comfort and convenience of our buses."

The restyled low-floor bus NEFAZ-5299-40-52 was put into the mass production this year. It is designed to meet modern requirements for passengers safety and comfort. The exterior and interior of this model has been completely updated. The bus has a bright spacious interior with a wide storage area, comfortable handrails with buttons to call the driver and usb-charging for gadgets, there is also a ramp to get in for strollers. Great attention is paid to the equipment of the driver's workplace: a chair on the air pneumosuspension has appeared, and also a new ergonomic dashboard. The bus accommodates 111 passengers: 29 seats have been installed, eight of which are designed for priority categories of citizens.
