KAMAZ is working to counteract the risks of spreading the coronavirus

Ildar Shamilov, Deputy Director General for security at KAMAZ, took part in a meeting with RT Deputy Prime Minister Leila Fazleeva on the topic of coronavirus prevention, held on February 29 in Naberezhnye Chelny.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of Naberezhnye Chelny Ramil Halimov, Head of the city health Department Alexander Nikolaev, and chief sanitary doctor of the city Ilgizar Bariev.

Ildar Shamilov reported on the measures taken by the company to counteract the risks of spreading the coronavirus. In particular, KAMAZ has established an operational Headquarters to counteract the epidemic, introduced a ban on holding mass meetings, restrictions on foreign business trips, and is also working on measures for additional processing of premises and the purchase of protection and prevention equipment. The epidemiological situation in the units is under control, and an information leaflet on coronavirus prevention measures has been developed.

Work to counteract the risks of spreading the coronavirus was highly appreciated by Leila Fazleeva. RT Vice-Premier noted that the experience of KAMAZ and developed the enterprise manual will be used as a basis for preventive activities other enterprises of Tatarstan.

Within the framework of the above-mentioned headquarters for countering the economic risks of the spread of coronavirus, which was headed by Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ, the company is working not only with suppliers of components and searching for alternative manufacturers, but also with the KAMAZ's team.

«Of course, due to the aggravation of the epidemiological situation due to coronavirus infection in countries with which KAMAZ has established strong partnerships, in particular in Italy and Germany, we need to take the most stringent measures to prevent the spread of infection among our team, – Sergey Kogogin commented on the situation. - And we do everything possible to be ready to respond quickly to emerging challenges. In the near future, we will sign an order in which we will not only introduce a number of restrictions that prevent the spread of the disease, but also provide for measures of medical and material support for our employees if one of them is forced to not go to work because of preventive measures. I am also sure that our employees will understand the additional checks by medical staff at the checkpoints and the installation of special devices».
