BEGISHEVO TO BUILD SECOND TERMINAL

Begishevo International Airport, a subsidiary of KAMAZ PTC, is to build a new international terminal.

After an audit of planning documentation and results of engineering surveys, Main Department of State Expertise approved the construction of the international terminal at Begishevo Airport. The project of the future terminal provides for construction and commissioning of a three-storey international terminal with a throughput of 200 passengers an hour and construction of a land site. The building will occupy an area of 8,500 square metres. Construction is to start already this year, and commissioning is scheduled for 2020. The project of the new terminal is developed in accordance with the Optimum category of the IATA LoS Concept (the level of operational service performance compliant with standards of the International Air Transport Association).

It should be recalled that Begishevo Airport is the largest international transportation hub of the Volga Region. In 2017, the passenger flow of the airport reached historic highs with 587,775 transported passengers. In February 2018, the airport became a silver prize winner of the award Air Gates of Russia in the nomination The 2017 Best Airport with a passenger traffic under 2 million people a year.
