26 May 2018

KAMAZ PTC and the Government of Samara Oblast signed an agreement on cooperation at the 2018 Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum. The document was signed by Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ PTC, and Dmitry Azarov, head of the region.

Dmitry Azarov thanked Sergey Kogogin for his direct participation in the development of the economy of Samara Oblast. "We prepared for the signing, outlined our goals to be reached. No doubt, the cooperation between Samara Oblast and KAMAZ PTC will be successful," commented Dmirty Azarov. "The region will support efforts aimed at development of engineering competencies in the region to lay the basis for vehicle components production for the Russian auto industry."

Sergey Kogogin, in his turn, stressed that Samara Oblast is by right considered to be the Russian automotive capital. "Being a member of the Board of Directors of PJSC AVTOVAZ, I'm involved in all processes in this sector in Samara Oblast," noted Kogogin.

This year, KAMAZ has merged with Tolyatti's company United Automotive Technologies and intends to develop the production site. Cooperation of the largest Russian automobile corporation with regional authorities to boost performance of this enterprise is an important strategic task.
