Daimler Specialists Work at KAMAZ

1 February 2017

A delegation of experts of the German company Daimler AG - a strategic partner of the Kama Automobile Plant - has arrived at KAMAZ PTC (part of Rostec State Corporation) with a business trip.

The delegation included Thomas Jung, chief OMCD manager for lean production, his colleague Xavier Schambil, as well as Dirk Schlicht, head of office for relations with KAMAZ PTC.

During the visit, the German experts visited the new cab assembly-welding workshop at the Press and Stamping Plant and the Engine Plant which is preparing for the production of the newest P6 engine. The guests also visited the finishing production of the auto giant - the automobile factory where they were shown the main assembly line and a new cab assembly section.

During the visit, Daimler's representatives will take part in the session "Integration of TOS+ and PSK+ Production Systems". It will be held on the territory of ZF KAMA Joint Venture. It should be recalled that KAMAZ's Production System (PSK) was "reloaded" in 2014. The new stage of development was named PSK+ similar to Daimler's "rebranded" manufacturing system - TOS+. In the same year the first strategic session was held with the participation of German and KAMAZ experts. This time, Thomas Young will share his experience in implementing the German TOS+ with the top managers of KAMAZ.
