General Director of KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin, as a member of a delegation headed by Tatarstan’s President Rustam Minnikhanov, visited Turkmenistan. During a meeting with new President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow, the delegates discussed cooperation propects.
In the course of the business communication, the head of Turkmenistan stressed that strengthening of cooperation with Russia, its regions and top industrial centers is one of key lines in the foreign policy. The country is focused on comprehensive development of a traditionally trust-based and fruitful dialogue with the Republic of Tatarstan, which has long-term economic and cultural relations with Turkmenistan.
A decent example is mutually beneficial cooperation of Turkmenistan with the largest companies of Tatarstan, including KAMAZ PTC. During the present visit, the parties discussed deliveries of high-tech KAMAZ trucks for the needs of the country. Besides, the top manager of the auto giant told about achievements of cooperation and delivery of vehicles in the fulfillment of the order of Turkmenistan’s President.
“All orders issued by Turkmenistan’s President are being fulfilled, we are finishing construction of new service centers in all welaýatlar (regions) which will be launched in June and till the end of the year. A three-year contract for delivery of vehicles concluded before is fulfilled completely. We honour all warranty obligations, ensure service maintenance. Our goals are to continue working, creating new jobs in Turkmenistan, satisfy enterprises’ demand in vehicles. We see a construction scale in today’s Turkmenistan. Not a facility can be built without trucks. Therefore we are ready to supply the country with modern trucks, we are always together with Turkmenistan,” noted Sergey Kogogin.
Besides, during the visit, the parties discussed prospects of further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and other industrial companies of the Republic of Tatarstan. “Last year, our sales volume made 77.5 million dollars. There is huge potential for better performance, for instance, in such areas as oil search, oil extraction, gas transportation, auto, aircraft and shipping industries, delivery of chemical products,” noted Rustam Minnikhanov.
