KAMAZ AND MAZ INTEND TO EXPAND COOPERATION

Director General of KAMAZ PTC Sergey Kogogin took part in the discussion of issues on deepening cooperation between Russia and Belarus, which took place in Minsk, as part of a meeting between Aleksandr Morozov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and Pyotr Parkhomchik, Minister of Industry of Belarus.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Industry of Belarus intend to deepen cooperation in various areas, including import substitution. The parties discussed topical issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, confirmed mutual interest in deepening cooperation in various areas – in the production of various automotive components, assemblies, units and microelectronics used in the manufacture of freight and passenger transport of the two countries.

During the visit to Belarus, the Russian delegation attended the Great Stone industrial park. Representatives of the park administration told about new technical developments and demonstrated a range of products.

In addition, an important point of the business program was a visit to Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ), where a meeting was held on the prospects for cooperation between MAZ and KAMAZ. The top engineering companies of the two countries intend to integrate efforts in the field of vehicle production using unmanned and intelligent systems and in other areas.
