24 August 2021

The first interim results of the test operation of the KAMAZ-6282 electric bus have been summed up in Kazan.

According to the Director General of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise Metroelektrotrans Aidar Abdulkhakov, during the month of test operation, the first electric bus in Kazan transported 12.5 thousand passengers, traveling a total of 5700 kilometers. Economical and eco-friendly public transport is operated on the trolleybus route No. 3 «Academic Glushko-River Port». «The company has already received 684 positive reviews from passengers who supported the new type of transport. Citizens can leave their wishes directly in the electric bus – a QR code and a phone number for communication are placed in the cabin», – Aidar Abdulkhakov said.

Recall that the first KAMAZ-6282 electric bus in Kazan began running in test mode a little more than a month ago. For uninterrupted operation of the electric bus, a Tornado charger is installed at the River Port terminal station, which provides charging in just 8-10 minutes. «Public transport, innovative for the Tatarstan capital, is equipped with the most advanced technologies. In Moscow, this eco-friendly mode of transport, which once seemed like a fantasy, has become a familiar reality. We hope that passengers in the capital of Tatarstan will appreciate all the advantages of our electric buses, which were created with sincere concern for people», – said Samat Sattarov, Director of Passenger Transport at KAMAZ PТC.

Testing of the KAMAZ-6282 electric bus in Kazan continues. After the completion of the test operation, the Municipal Unitary Enterprise Metroelektrotrans will prepare a report on the economic efficiency of using an electric bus in the city in comparison with trolleybuses and buses.
