KAMAZ WELCOMES DELEGATION FROM UZBEKISTAN

KAMAZ PTC (part of Rostec State Corporation) was visited by a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Deputy Prime Minister Gulomzhon Ibragimov.

The delegation includes Shamil Burnashev, Deputy Chairman, State Investments Committee of Uzbekistan, Umidjan Salimov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC Uzavtosanoat, and Alisher Khadzhibayev, Director General of UzAuto TRAILER, other executives. The guests got acquainted with the operation of the cab assembly conveyor and the main assembly line, visited the demonstration site of the test track at the Scientific and Technical Center KAMAZ and test drove trucks.

During the visit, a contract was signed on the delivery of KAMAZ chassis with UzAuto TRAILER specializing in the production of trucks, buses and special vehicles. The quantity and terms of delivery will be determined later. KAMAZ's partner plans to use the chassis in the production of special vehicles for various sectors of the national economy of Uzbekistan. In general, the experts from Central Asia showed their interest in a wide model range of the company.

KAMAZ was one of several enterprises the Uzbek delegation visited in Tatarstan. Having welcomed the guests in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan's President Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that Tatarstan and Uzbekistan hadn't yet reached the peak of their mutual trade volumes. "We see great prospects for cooperation... KAMAZ may become our first company to start it this year," said the head of Tatarstan, speaking about joint projects with Uzbekistan. "We need to build a strategy, outline our goals, and align positions."
