12 July 2017

KAMAZ PTC (part of Rostec State Corporation) is taking part in the VIII International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM which is being held in Yekaterinburg on these days.

As usual, thousands of heads of Russian and international companies, the representatives of institutes of development and governmental entities took part in the largest exhibition. This year's speakers are Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the RF, Sultan Saeed Al-Mansuri, Minister of Economy of the UAE, Hiroshige Seko, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, and others. In all, more than one hundred specialized events focusing on topical subjects are to be arranged on the ground of the exhibition. The main topic of INNOPROM-2017 is Smart Manufacturing. Global Approach

Russia's leading truck maker is presenting the side-board vehicle KAMAZ-65207 running on liquified natural gas (LNG) at INNOPROM-2017. This is one of the latest developments of the company in the sphere of gas-powered machinery complying with the global trend to CNG used as a fuel for truck engines.

Talking about competitive advantages of the model, KAMAZ's experts note that the use of LNG improves techno-ecenomic and environmental properties of commercial vehicles. In comparison with vehicles on compressed natural gas, LNG trucks feature enhanced kilometrage and lifting capacity, more opportunities for installation of specialized superstructures thanks to lower capacity used and a fewer number of gas tanks.

Besides, KAMAZ and NAMI Research Center showed their joint project - a SHUTTLE driverless bus - at the industrial exhibition in Yekaterinburg. The unique novelty that can be smartphone controlled is presented at the stand of KAMAZ's project partner. The bus can carry passengers on its own, having only data on a destination and preferable stops received electronically. Meant for 12 people, the vehicles can gain the speed up to 40 km an hour. The promising model of passenger transport which is currently undergoing tests was examined by Vladimir Putin. "It can carry employees to enterprises", noted Russia's head after he had seen a minibus.

It is noteworthy saying that KAMAZ and X5 Retail Group signed an agreement on supplies and maintenance of 100 gas-diesel road trains at the INNOPROM exhibition.
