KAMAZ PARTICIPATED IN A BUSINESS MISSION TO SAUDI ARABIA

Experts from KAMAZ PTC among Russian top managers took part in a business mission of Russia to Saudi Arabia to outline priority areas of cooperation between the two countries in industrial sectors.

About 50 top managers of Russian companies and enterprises, industry associations, engineering centers, and also the Russian Export Center and the Russian-Arab Business Council participated in the business mission to Riyadh organized by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade jointly with the Russian Direct Investment Fund. KAMAZ was presented by Eduard Lavrentyev, Director for Bus Sales, at the business meeting.

In the course of the business mission, the parties conducted negotiations on cooperation between Russia and Saudi Arabia in the oil and gas sector, automobile and railway transport production, aviation, metallurgy, and other industries. Russia and Saudi Arabia are ready to implement joint projects in new high-tech areas. After a meeting with Mr. Saad Abdulaziz Alkhalb, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Transport of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, it was decided to scale up cooperation between the countries in terms of supplies of railway vehicles, electric vehicles and buses.

KAMAZ offers a wide line-up of passenger vehicles and has been developing electric transport means for the last five years. The company presented one of its latest products – KAMAZ-6282 Electric Bus – at the event. The second-generation KAMAZ-6282 electric bus charged with lithium-titanate batteries that can be quickly recharged on the route is considered to be today's most environmentally-friendly public transport. The electric bus can run 70 km on one charge. The new electric bus differs from older models in a restyled spacious passenger compartment. There are more seats in it, since it has no engine block. It is also adapted for physically challenged people and features video cameras and satellite navigation systems.
