A solemn meeting devoted to the 10-thousandth cab frame welded for the new vehicle lineup took place at the press and stamping plant of KAMAZ PTC (part of Rostec State Corporation).
Cabs of this series are installed in all advanced vehicles, including popular truck tractors KAMAZ-5490, dump trucks KAMAZ-6580, KAMAZ-65801 and others. The jubilee ten-thousandth frame was made for the KAMAZ-5490 truck.
Aleksandr Rybakov, Director of the PSP, congratulated the workers on the significant event and thanked them for their work. He noted that KAMAZ vehicles of the new lineup had quickly gained popularity and earned the loyalty of customers also due to a new cab produced with the use of the latest technologies, equipment.
Yury Gerasimov, Deputy Director General of KAMAZ – Executive Director, announced some figures to confirm this, "For 4 years of project implementation, we've reached this figure of 10 thousand cab frames. We are to produce even more next year: there are 10,435 vehicles with such a cab are to be made in 2018 according to the preliminary business plan."
The 10-thousandth cab frame was manufactured thanks to the large personnel's coordinated work. During the event, the workers of the press and stamping plant were awarded: those who work daily to achieve high performance indicators received awards for their merits.
The order to open the Cab project was signed in March 2013, and the new cab welding line was put into operation in December. New state-of-the-art equipment was mounted within the shortest period of time, and the first 45 cab frames came off the conveyor already by the end of 2013. A year ago, in the middle of November, the press and stamping plant produced the five-thousandth frame of the new cab.
