NEFAZ PTC, a subsidiary of KAMAZ in Bashkiria, is 40 years old. In 1977, on October 11, the main conveyor was launched in the dumptruck department, and the automobile plant was put into operation.
Today, NEFAZ is Russia's largest plant for production of special-purpose superstructures on KAMAZ chassis. The main types of products are dump trucks, trailers, semi-trailers and tank semi-trailers. Also, the company mastered a wide range of buses. Every third Russian bus of a large class is produced in NEFAZ PTC.
In its anniversary year, Neftekamsk's automobile plant is steadily increasing its production volumes and expanding its range of products. It is symbolic that in 2017 the company has launched new interesting projects, which became a starting point for a new stage of development. Now the company is implementing a large-scale project to master the production of all modifications of bus chassis, gradually switching over to production of buses for a new lineup. Approximately 70% of NEFAZ's third generation buses will be made with fundamentally new exterior, in combination with design and technological solutions, which will improve vehicle performance and expand the range of competitive advantages.
In addition, such new products as trolleybuses, apron buses, trawling machinery, tractor trailers, cold storage trucks and much more were introduced in 2017. It is worth noting individually a new promising area - production of electric buses as a new eco-friendly means of transport for Russian regions.
Successful implementation of these and other projects became possible thanks to a stable course on production modernization and introduction of state-of-the-art technologies which was shaped by the enterprise several years ago. Today, top world-known manufacturers' equipment is successfully used there, which enabled to raise product quality, boost production and amend conditions. The company's high performers headed by General Director Sergey Zuykov and reliable equipment are the key to successful cooperation with consumers, including 58 regions of Russia, near and far abroad countries.
