KAMAZ has a new chief designer

By order of the Director General of KAMAZ PTC Sergey Kogogin from November 1, 2019 Eugene Makarov, who previously held the position of Deputy Chief Designer for new developments of automotive units and special equipment of this division, was appointed as Chief Designer on KAMAZ – Director of the Scientific and Technical Center (STC).

Eugene Makarov was born in Kazan in 1974. He has two higher educations: in 1996 he graduated from the Kama Polytechnic Institute with a degree in automotive Engineering, in 2000 he graduated from the Kazan State Technological University in absentia.

Eugene Makarov began his career at KAMAZ in 1996 as a design engineer in the Bureau of driving axles and transmissions. From 1998 to 2005 he worked at small enterprises of the city. In December 2005 returned on KAMAZ, in Department designing automobile technology STTS as Deputy Chief Designer on new developments automobile aggregates and special equipment. Since that time he has been managing the main projects of STC, including «Perspective KAMAZ cars» and «Reengineering of automobile production».

Eugene Makarov has the title of «Honorary machine-Builder of the Ministry of industry and trade of the Russian Federation», recognized as «Head of the year» in 2015 according to the results of the Republican competition. He is the Candidate of Technical Sciences and author of a number of patents for industrial designs. Eugene is married and has two sons.

Danis Valeev, who worked as chief designer of KAMAZ – Director of STC for almost a quarter of a century, was transferred to the position of Advisor to the Director General of KAMAZ.
