KAMAZ has signed a contract for the supply of 200 electric buses – it became the largest in the company's history.
In January 2020, KAMAZ signed a third contract for the supply of 200 electric buses to Mosgortrans. Under the terms of the agreement, all equipment must be delivered to Moscow's fleet by August 31, 2020. The first ten electric buses will be available to the customer in February. The manufacturer also undertakes to fully service KAMAZ electric buses for 15 years from the date of delivery.
It is noteworthy that this year electric buses will be equipped with a universal multiservice system that collects and analyzes the data flow from various sensors of the electric bus, records passenger traffic, and evaluates the quality and efficiency of electric bus management. It also integrates with the «Talking city» radio information and sound guidance system, which helps visually impaired and blind passengers when boarding and disembarking from the cabin. In addition, the contract with Mosgortrans provides for the development and delivery of a unique training simulator designed to train drivers of electric buses.
The conclusion of this contract was preceded by a lot of work done by engineers and specialists of KAMAZ. «Over the past few years, Moscow has made significant progress in developing transport systems. It is gratifying that KAMAZ has also made its contribution to the common cause, becoming one of the main suppliers of passenger transport. This is a big responsibility for us – we have already delivered two hundred electric buses to Moscow, meeting the strict requirements of Mosgortrans. The customer was satisfied with our products and their service, – said Nikolay Pronin, Deputy General Director for passenger transport of KAMAZ. – Today, KAMAZ electric buses carry more than 150 thousand passengers in the capital, and more than 600 NEFAZ buses operate on the city's routes.
