KAMAZ PTC and UzAuto TRAILER LLC, belonging to Uzavtosanoat JSC, signed the agreement establishing a joint venture - KAMAZ ASIA CENTER. As part of the signing ceremony held in Uzbekistan, the products of the joint venture – the gas modification of the KAMAZ vehicles with the engine RGK was also presented to the public.
As the main tasks of the joint venture KAMAZ ASIA CENTER identified the development and control of dealer and service centers of KAMAZ vehicles in Uzbekistan, the provision of service and after sales maintenance, as well as the development of export of products of UzAutoTRAILER LLC and other enterprises of Uzavtosanoat JSC to KAMAZ PTC. The parties also discussed the issues of current cooperation, including the expansion of the production of KAMAZ vehicles, the development of dealer and service network, export of both finished products and components from Uzavtosanoat JSC to KAMAZ enterprises.
The ceremony of the contract signing was continued by the presentation of the first produced gas vehicle. An all-metal truck on KAMAZ-65117 chassis was presented, equipped with a 300 H.P. RGK engine. This vehicle was installed with 11 gas cylinders of LNG-1 type of domestic production, accommodating 170 cubic meters of natural gas and allowing to overcome the distance up to 400 km
Gas engines with capacity from 240 to 420 HP, with a guarantee of 18 months or 150,000 km, approved by the main manufacturer will be applied for installation on UzAuto TRAILER vehicles. RGC series engines are certified for operation on ECOGAS (methane), with the possibility of remote monitoring and adjustment of operating parameters. Road tests in different climatic conditions with more than 5 million km, showed that the RGK system meets the environmental requirements of "Euro-5", increases fuel efficiency on 15% and above, is resistant to pollution and gas condensate, increases the life of the cylinder group. In addition, among its advantages – cold start without warm-up to minus 28 degrees and the absence of disadvantages, which common in engines converted into gas from diesel.
The initial production capacity for the gas-engine vehicles production is planned up to 500 units per year, with further increase. The vehicles will be equipped with gas cylinders certified according to international standards. The element base of the gas equipment will consist of parts and units from the world's leading manufacturers. The company plans to further localize gas equipment elements. KAMAZ gas vehicles of the joint production of the leader of the Russian truck engineering and “UzAutoTRAILER” LLC are requested and will stay relevant both in the local market, and in foreign countries.
By the way, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, speaking about the results of negotiations with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, which took place last Friday, October 19, mentioned ”KAMAZ” PTC among Russian companies, which are successfully cooperating with Uzbekistan and expanding their presence in this market.
