Within the framework of the national project «Safe and high-quality roads», a large batch of buses produced by NEFAZ PTC, a subsidiary of KAMAZ in Bashkiria, is planned to be delivered to the Municipal unitary enterprise of Kazan «Passenger motor transport enterprise No. 2» (PATP No. 2).
Thirty large-capacity buses-NEFAZ 5299-40-57, running on compressed natural gas, will be transferred to PATP No. 2 until the fifth of November this year. The contract with «State transport leasing company» is aimed at implementing measures of the national project «Safe and high-quality roads» to update the rolling stock of urban passenger transport.
Note that this is the second batch. Kazan became the first city in which the restyled buses NEFAZ 5299-40-57 started to run. The first such buses appeared in the capital's fleet in 2018. The maximum passenger capacity of one bus is 111 people.
In the production of low-floor buses NEFAZ 5299-40-57 used new Assembly technologies and advanced materials. Improved driver's seat: improved visibility, a new ergonomic dashboard, and a driver's seat with air suspension with headrest and backrest tilt adjustment for maximum comfort.
The interior of the bus has been modified to meet modern requirements. The interior is light and spacious. The wide storage area has space for bicycles, prams. It is also comfortable enough for people with disabilities. Conveniently located handrails have buttons for calling the driver. Additional heaters are installed for greater comfort of passengers.
