Sergey Kogogin met with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan

Director General of KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin. During the meeting, issues of further expansion of cooperation in the field of production of cars and special equipment in Kazakhstan were discussed.

Sergey Kogogin informed Askar Mamin about the production of automotive equipment in the Kazakhstan Republic by the joint venture KAMAZ-Engineering. It was agreed to increase the volume of production and the level of localization.

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan instructed the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure development of the Republic to work out issues of industrial cooperation for the production of individual components for KAMAZ vehicles in Kazakhstan. The head of the Russian company, in his turn, announced his intention to invest in these productions with the participation of Kazakhstan partners.

KAMAZ-Engineering joint venture was established in 2005. The design capacity of the plant is 1500 trucks per year. Over the years, the plant produced more than 12.5 thousand cars and machinery, which are used in many sectors of the Kazakhstan economy. The company produces - 50 types of KAMAZ cars, including dump trucks, trucks, drop-side and all-wheel drive vehicles, and also more than 35 types of special equipment.
