Within the framework of the visiting session devoted to the development of urban public transport, the State Duma deputies got acquainted with the breakthrough technologies implemented in Moscow electric buses.

From the building of the State Duma till the fleet the deputies arrived on the KAMAZ the bus – in just 24 minutes instead of 45 minutes by car. In the presence of the Head of the Transport Department of Moscow Maxim Liksutov, Chairman of the state Duma Committee on Transport and Construction Yevgeny Moskvichev, Deputy Director General of KAMAZ PTC for passenger transport Nikolai Pronin, the deputies personally appreciated the advantages of innovative electric buses.

Among the main advantages were a spacious interior, quiet, environmentally friendly, economical operation and ultra-fast charging. "We came here with the whole Committee directly from the State Duma building on the electric bus. This is a modern and cultural public transport, which shows that these are not the old buses that consume 100 liters of gasoline per 100 km. We have to get away from this story and make sure that in our cities the transport is the most environmentally friendly and clean, – Yevgeny Moskvichev said during the meeting. – We made sure that people use chargers and Wi-Fi at bus stops and saw a modern electric bus that Russia needs." He also added that the Committee supports the direction chosen by Moscow for the development of electric buses and advocates that in the future they appear in megacities. "We will definitely listen to the manufacturers, and, I believe, for the introduction of such modern transport in the cities of millions of people need an appropriate state program", – said Moskvichev.

Now on Moscow routes run hundreds of electric buses. By the end of this year, they will be three times more than today. It should be noted that 200 units will be supplied by KAMAZ, which won two tenders for the production and supply of a batch of electric buses to Mosgortrans
