BEGISHEVO AIRPORT ANNOUNCES RESULTS FOR SEPTEMBER

6 October 2017

Begishevo Airport, a subsidiary of KAMAZ (part of Rostec State Corporation), numbered 53,710 clients in September 2017, which is a 64% increase compared to the same period last year, and since the beginning of the year 441,781 passengers have gone through the airport.

Aeroflot, S7 and Nordwind became top airlines in terms of passenger traffic to Begishevo in September. In total they provided 59% of the total passenger traffic in the airport for the specified period. The results of September were attained, as usual, thanks to 100% performance of charter flights to Turkey (by Nordwind and Azur Air), new additional flights to Moscow (by Nordwind), as well as a high passenger flow to Russian resorts despite flights to Turkey. In addition, low-cost Pobeda resumed flights from Begishevo to Moscow on September 25.

In 2016 Begishevo Airport accepted 380,997 passengers. This year the airport planned to increase passenger traffic, both on domestic and international routes, and transport 416,000 passengers. But this plan was overfulfilled already in September. So, in mid-November Begishevo Airport is to welcome the 500,000th passenger, and the target for the end of the year is 520,000 clients.
