Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Visited KAMAZ

31 July 2017

Olga Epifanova, Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma, visited KAMAZ (part of Rostec State Corporation) as an industrial tourist in a group of Russian specialists.

Vice Speaker of the Russian State Duma Olga Epifanova travelled along one of four excursion routes approved in the company and got acquainted with the work of the cab assembly line and the main assembly line of the automobile plant. Also, Russian guests were shown a film-presentation about KAMAZ.

"It is always interesting to compare our production sites with foreign ones. Today I have toured the factory with great pleasure and saw there real elements of the Japanese quality system which is the world standard," Olga Epifanova shared her impressions. "We had time to discuss with colleagues a problem of attracting young experts to production, which is topical for the Russian industry." Speaking about the excursion route itself, the vice-speaker noted its visual appeal, high information content and usefulness. "I wanted to try to perform any operation and evaluate how easy or difficult it is," she stressed.

Based on the initiative of Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan, on the organization of industrial tourism in Tatarstan in early 2016, the plants of the auto giant were included in tourist routes, and the first excursion to KAMAZ took place last April. Within the frameworks of this activity, the leading Russian truck manufacturer welcomed more than 600 Russian and foreign tourists who visited the automobile, press and stamping, foundry and engine plants.
