Rafis Galiev, Director of the Plant of Spare Parts and Components of KAMAZ PTC (part of Rostec State Corporation), was given the title “Honored Machine Builder of the Republic of Tatarstan”.
The award was presented by Ildar Khalikov, Prime Minister of Tatartstan, at the XV session of the city’s Council where the results of the city’s activities for 2016 were summed up.
For 30 years of work at the enterprise, Rafis Galiev has risen through the ranks from master to chief engineer. He did a great job optimizing production, creating facilities and producing new modifications of engines for various vehicles compliant with global requirements. Under his direct leadership and with his personal participation, the quality management system and lean manufacturing methods were implemented; the key projects of the plant development were realized. In December 2015, Rafis Galiev became Candidate of Technical Sciences.
A year ago, Rafis Galiev was appointed Director of the Plant of Spare Parts and Components. The assembly of all models of KAMAZ gearboxes which had earlier been produced at the engine plant was arranged on the new ground for a short period of time. At this moment, the top manager is trying to solve large-scale tasks: to organize production of low-price spare parts, to reengineer production of spare parts, to master new production of components.
