DIVERSIFICATION PRODUCTS – BREAKING NEW GROUND

According to the results of 2017, the foundry of KAMAZ sold diversification products to the sum of almost four billion rubles. In accordance with the 2018 business plan, the sales volumes of these products are to be increased by 0.8 billion rubles.

According to Sergey Sych, Director of the Foundry, in 2017 the focus was made on the development of orders preproduction against which had been carried out a year ago. The product range was expanded, and also the production volumes for JSCo RZD, the production of isolation valves and new pieces of street furniture (benches and waste containers) for urban beautification was mastered. Thanks to these and other fulfilled orders, the foundry managed to reach the sum of 3 billion 869 million rubles, which exceeds the plant's own record in sales of diversification products.

According to the results of 2018, the plant plans to deliver its customers products to the sum of 4.7 billion rubles. Given that the foundry's reengineering program is to influence the production, this is an ambitious task. Now the enterprise is stocking up products so that the production could be stopped for equipment modernization if necessary.

"The foundry has received orders from about 150 companies by the present moment. But we aren't yet ready to attract more partners," explains Sergey Sych. "Our goal is to strengthen our presence in market segments and boost deliveries to our clients." The priority is to cooperate with RZD and purchasers of isolation valves. Besides, the foundrymen of KAMAZ intend to develop products for municipal services. The preparation for tenders in several subjects of the Russian Federation is under way.
