The forge plant of KAMAZ executed the 2017 business plan ahead of schedule having sold diversification products to the tune of RUB 680 mn.
In the remaining one and a half months of the current year, the blacksmiths will stamp more dies than it's planned: the order portfolio is to bring RUB 130 mn. According to Andrey Kuptsov, Deputy Director of the Forge Plant – Commercial Director, the high result was achieved, because all obligations concerning preproduction and serial deliveries of forgings for the heavy gearbox production at ZF KAMA JV were fulfilled timely, a project for crankshaft manufacturing jointly with world-known company was quickly advanced, and also the Russian economy saw a general positive trend of reviving.
Every year, the blacksmiths plan to produce more and more forgings for vehicle component production. These records have been made for the first time since the launch of diversification production, that is since the early 1990s. The plant made half a million products overfulfilling the plan a year ago, and finished the year 2016 with an excess of 75 m. And it is expected to make products for alternative customers and reach the figure of RUB 930 mn in 2018.
