Within the limits of a social campaign organized on the initiative of the Union of Machine Engineers of Russia, the Donor Day was held at the foundry of KAMAZ PTC (part of Rostec State Corporation).
With account of strict medical requirements, 42 people were allowed to the procedure and donated 19 litres of blood. Among the donors there were people with rare blood types which are hard to get in an emergency situation. They gave their consent to be included in the database of the Blood Transfusion Center and can help those in need if necessary.
The Donor Day was initiated by the Union of Machine Engineers of Russia. This is the most important social campaign aimed to help patients who desperately need donor blood and its coponents. The workers of the founsry have been actively participating in this campaign for several years.
