26 May 2017

Repair services of KAMAZ (parr of Rostec State Corporation) restored equipment permanently used in production.

The equipment was repaired during May's holidays. According to Sergey Smolin, Director of Engineering Center – Chief Mechanic, more than 450 operations, 20 of which were very important, were implemented at the factories for this period of time. Last year they started replacing monorail sections for delivery of liquid metal at the iron casting shop of the foundry, and they have recently been completed. This time 14 meters of direcrt sections and three turns were rerpaired. The control gear of the line casting engine blocks and case details were also put in order there.

The Renault automated line was restored at the engine plant under the Quality Transformation program. This unit alternates the ZiO automated line which processes reference holes in cylinder heads of KAMAZ V-engines. Due to depreciation of the rotary table drive, the equipment was working for more than seven years. The dubbing machine which was working all this time also needed to be repaired, therefore it was decided to renovate the Renault. Such a backup will secure the workers of the engine plant against equipmenrt failures. The repair of the LKZ-6.300 machine stamping a wide range of gearwheels for axles has come to an end at the forge plant.

Another important area is to enhance safety. Experts and workers from the department of special vehicles and transport checked and repaired cranes and overhead-track hoists at the factoties of the group. For several days, seven lifting devices were adjusted, and also 80 meters of rails under cranes were examined.
