From marking industrial containers to separate waste collection

9 June 2017

The foundry of KAMAZ PTC (part of Rostec State Corporation) is successfully implementing the project of marking industrial containers, which is a solution to the issues of separate waste selection.

Containers have special pockets for documents, their colour depends on the content of a container, and marks indicate a shop where a container is used. Thus, for instance, the black colour of an iron box with wastes makes it visible afar, its sides are marked to indicate the type of waste it is intended for, and there is an instruction plate nearby.

"All this is done to avoid co-mingled collection of waste because our industrial waste, steel cuttings, for example, is recycled," Oleg Alekseenko, Metallurgical Equipment Shop Foreman, clarifies. "Now we strictly abide by the schedule of industrial waste collection, which disciplines the staff".
