KAMAZ AND EBZ TEAMING UP

10 May 2018

KAMAZ PTC and the ERFURT Bildungszentrum (EBZ) have concluded an agreement on education-centered cooperation.

The agreement was signed in Erfurt, Germany at a Tatarstan-Thuringia working group meeting chaired by Albert Karimov, Head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and Wolfgang Tiefensee, Thuringia's Minister of Economy, Science and the Digital Society. The document was signed by Alexander Ushenin, KAMAZ PTC Deputy General Director for Human Resources Management and Organization Development, and Frank Belkner, ERFURT Bildungszentrum General Manager.

KAMAZ PTC, the Multifunctional Centre of Applied Qualifications of Mechanical Engineering (MTsPK), Technical College n.a. V.D. Potashov and the EBZ have agreed to cooperate in training KAMAZ production personnel in most advanced and called-for professions. In addition, the parties will cooperate in staff competency assessment as well as in teaching staff training and developing methodological-didactic papers in accordance with German standards and advanced technologies. It is expected that the cooperation program will be instrumental for the MTsPK and V.D. Potashov Technical College to come up to German standards.

During the working visit, a delegation from Tatarstan visited the ERFURT Bildungszentrum to acquaint themselves with the way educational processes and work-study classes are handled. It is worth noting that this center was set up by an association of companies that have been providing innovative training services in the technology and industry sectors, both in Thuringia and beyond, since 1990. More than one hundred highly qualified teachers of the EBZ train and retrain experts of various industrial enterprises, and starting from this year – KAMAZ experts too. The cooperation agreement will enable the Russian truck maker to enhance product quality and approximate the best European producers.
