KAMAZ Announces 1Q Results

The plants and subdivisions of KAMAZ (part of Rostec State Corporation) have summed up their performance in March and 1Q of 2017.

The automobile assembly plant, the company's finishing production enterprise, made vehicle kits for shipping in the amount of 3,077 pieces in March and 7,286 pieces for the first three months of the year (2,480 and 5,308 year-on-year, respectively).    

The engine assembly plant and CUMMINS KAMA JV manufactured and delivered to their customers almost 3.4 thous. engines and power units altogether in March and more than 8.1 thous. of items of this kind for the whole quarter (about 2.7 thous. and 6 thous. y-o-y, respectively).

In March dealers, service centers and corporate clients of the company received spare parts for KAMAZ vehicles to the tune of RUB 2.4 bln, over RUB 6 bln since the beginning of the year (RUB 1.25 bln and approximately RUB 3 bln y-o-y, respectively). KAMAZ's plants and subdivisions supplied side-party customers diversification products for RUB 633 mln in March and RUB 1.58 bln for three months (RUB 400 mln and RUB 812 mln y-o-y, respectively).

According to recent reports, the Russian market of trucks with GVW of 14-40 t made up 9.85 thous. pcs for three months of 2017, by 25% more than y-o-y. Within the given period, KAMAZ PTC sold 6.74 thous. trucks with 14-40 t GVW (+29% y-o-y), including about 5.6 thous. pcs sold in the Russian market, more than 1.1 thous. pcs exported.  

The company's proceeds for the first quarter of 2017 totaled more than RUB 28.65 bln (+47% y-o-y).
