KAMAZ's foundry participated in the scientific and practical conference Urgent Problems of Foundry Development at the Bauman MSTU in Moscow.
The event was timed to the 80th anniversary of the German company HWS-Sinto – the world's leading producer of automated molding lines – with which the foundry has been successfully cooperating for many years. KAMAZ at the conference was presented by Eduard Panfilov, Director of the Foundry.
The representatives of the world's top companies shared news in the sphere of foundry technologies and experience in mastering state-of-the-art foundry equipment with the conference participants. Information was given on the latest trends in foundry modernization, modern systems of induction smelting and filling devices, potentials of computer simulation of foundry processes.
HWS Sinto is one of the key suppliers of equipment for the foundry. There are two automated molding lines by this global producer installed at the iron cast site: Line HWS-1 producing 70 molds an hour and Line HWS-2 producing 100 molds an hour. This equipment is currently producing the most important castings of the KAMAZ range, including castings for heavy trucks, and diversification products.
