18 January 2022

KAMAZ delivered a batch of low-floor NEFAZ buses to Murmansk.

On the threshold of the New Year, KAMAZ delivered 23 extra-large NEFAZ-5299-40-52 buses to the city of Murmansk. The buses will operate in AO Murmanskavtotrans and AO Elektrotransport goroda Murmanska.

“In summer 2021, we delivered a bus to AO Murmanskavtotrans for trial operations. This was the first time when the passenger carrier saw our products. During three months, the bus was going through tests after which got positive feedback. As a result, we signed a contract for delivery of more than two tens NEFAZ-5299-40-52 buses – this is the model running in Moscow and Naberezhnye Chelny to date. The capital sets very high requirements to public transport road vehicles, so I’m sure the citizens of Murmansk will be satisfied with our buses,” said Danil Ginyatullin, Deputy Director of the Passenger Transport Department of KAMAZ PTC.

NEFAZ PTC, KAMAZ’s subsidiary in Bashkiria, has been producing the facelifted low-floor NEFAZ-5299-40-52 bus since 2018. The bus is distinguished by modern exterior and interior, high requirements to passengers’ safety and comfort. The bus is equipped with an automatic transmission, an independent front suspension for ride comfort. The outside panel is made with the use of a new technology, from composite materials which afford complete protection against corrosion. For passengers’ comfort, there is a spacious compartment with a wide standing platform. The bus is designed for operation on routes with high passenger flow and fully complies with the Accessible Environment program. The total passenger capacity is 111 people, with 29 seats. For Murmansk, the bus is coloured blue.
