KAMAZ PTC (part of Rostec State Corporation) is to deliver 250 KAMAZ-6520 vehicles to Turkmenistan's Ministry of Motor Transport.

The regulation on the purchase of KAMAZ trucks was signed by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on September 29 during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to the country. According to the document, Turkmenistan's Ministry of Motor Transport is to purchase the largest Russian truck manufacturer's 250 KAMAZ-6520 vehicles featuring 20-tonne payload capacity.

The head of the Turkmen state noted that development of multifunctional transport and communication infrastructure was a key factor in realizing Turkmenistan’s economic, investment, transit and resource potential. He highlighted the mutually beneficial nature of cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan that is developing successfully within the interstate dialog with the Russian Federation.

Turkmenistan is one of large and stable markets for the Russian leading truck maker's products. Over the past ten years, the country has received more than 9 thousand trucks and special vehicles from KAMAZ, and the company continues to expand and improve Turkmenistan's truck fleet.

Different branches of Turkmenistan’s economy use KAMAZ vehicles that have proved themselves reliable. KAMAZ's training and service center with an area of more than 5 thousand square meters was opened in Ashgabat, following a high demand for KAMAZ trucks in this region fixed in July 2008. This center functions include not only supplies and full maintenance of vehicles, including diagnostics and overhaul, but also trainings for Turkmen experts who can learn peculiarities of design, operation, maintenance, diagnostics and light repair of KAMAZ vehicles. In addition, KAMAZ has a dealer network in Turkmenistan's cities of Ashgabat, Balkanabat, Mary and Turkmenabat.
