KAMAZ PRODUCTS ARE AMONG THE BEST

20 September 2021

The company’s novelties – the KAMAZ-6292 articulated electric bus and the KAMAZ-6595 dump truck won the Grand Prix Commercial Vehicles competition held by the Za Rulem Publishing House. The awards were presented at the COMTRANS 2021 international exhibition of commercial vehicles in Moscow.

The Za Rulem Grand Prix Commercial Vehicles competition was established by the editorial boards of Za Rulem magazine and Reis magazine. The peculiar thing about this award is that it is representatives of large transport companies, trade and repair enterprises (more than three dozen people), but not officials and journalists, who choose the best commercial vehicles. It should be noted that only new cars, buses and trailers that entered the Russian market from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 participated in the Grand Prix.

In total, 35 new products participated in the competition. They were divided into seven classes – from light trucks to buses and trailers. As a result, the KAMAZ-6595 heavy dump truck won in the Construction Trucks category. The KAMAZ-6292 articulated electric bus became the best among large-sized buses. The awards were handed to Rustam Shamsutdinov, Deputy General Director for Sales and Service of KAMAZ PTC, at the COMTRANS 2021 exhibition in Moscow.

The KAMAZ-6595 (6x4) is the first dump truck of the new promising K5 line. It is designed to operate on large industrial infrastructure facilities, in mountain and sand pits. The truck is fitted with a KAMAZ R6 910.15-450 diesel engine generating 450 hp and a ZF automated gearbox. The carrying capacity of the dump truck is 25 tonnes. Permissible vehicle weight is 41 tonnes. The KAMAZ-6595 dump truck features a reinforced frame and reinforced drive axles meant for an axle load of 16 tonnes. There is a comfortable, all-metal cab on a four-point suspension, without a berth. The dumping unit is a heated 16-cbm platform made of wear-resistant steel. A massive three-section front bumper made of stamped steel and a reinforced rear beam protect the truck from damage.

The KAMAZ-6292 super-large electric bus (the so-called accordion bus) has high customer performance indicators. The vehicle recharges at ultra-fast charging stations within 10-20 minutes. Its endurance is more than 90 km. Capacity is 135 people, 42 seated. The bus offers four priority seats too. The electric bus is equipped with ADAS driver assistance systems, surveillance cameras and satellite navigation, a climate control system, USB charging ports.
