KAMAZ Sums Up Results of Production and Sales in May

Subdivisions of KAMAZ PTC (part of Rostec State Corporation) continued fulfilling the current plan in May, going ahead of schedule after five months of work according to the Business Plan. 

Output                    

The automobile plant, KAMAZ's finishing enterprise, made 2,881 vehicle sets last month (last year's figure is 2,685), and 13,313 units in all since the beginning of the year (+300 to the planned figure, last year's figure is 10,566). 

The engine plant and JV CUMMINS KAMA produced and delivered 2,877 engines and power units altogether (last year's figure is 2,790 units) to the main assembly line of KAMAZ and other customers. Since the beginning of the year, they have manufactured over 14.3 thous. motors for vehicles and other types of machinery (last year's figure is 11.6 thous. units). 

In May, spare parts were sold for the sum of over 1.8 billion roubles (0.55 billion roubles last year). The figure for five months of the year made 9.68 billion roubles (5.48 billion roubles last year).

Diversification products were produced to the tune of more than 674 million roubles last month, and 2.8 billion roubles in all since the beginning of the year (1.74 billion roubles last year).

KAMAZ's marketing experts say that KAMAZ PTC's sales showed a 21% increase on the domestic market for five month year-over-year to make up 10.2 thous. units (total sales of all trucks in terms of GVW).  

After 5 months of 2017, according to current data for May, the Russian market of 14-40 t GVW trucks (import and shipping) grew by 61% y-o-y and formed 21.5 thous. units. After 5 months of 2017, according to current data for May, the share of KAMAZ PTC on the Russian market of trucks with GVW of 14-40 t (import and shipping) makes 47% (it was 62% last year).

The Russian market of trucks with GVW 14-40 t (registration) for 4 months of 2017 grew by 36% in comparison with last year and totalled 15.0 thous. units. The share of KAMAZ PTC regarding registered vehicles with GVW 14-40 t for 4 months of 2017 was 51% (61% y-o-y). KAMAZ PTC is keeping the leading positions on the Russian market of trucks with 14-40 t GVW with a share much higher than that of the post-crisis period.
