15 August 2017

NEFAZ, a subsidiary of NEFAZ PTC in Bashkiria, presented a new product – an airport bus  at the XIII International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2017.

The new model of Neftekamsk's plant is based on a serial 12-meter low-floor NEFAZ-5299-40-52 city bus. There are three double swing doors on the right side and two double swing doors closely located on the left side in the bus. All doors feature smart closing and emergency opening functions. There is additional aisles for luggage instead of a seat row in the rear part of the passenger compartment. To add to this, the bus has antislip wear-resistant floor covering. Passenger seats are anti-vandal, with soft panels and a hand grip on the back. The driver's cab is separated from the main copartment with a divider with a separate exit. There are 12 seats in the compartment, and the bus can accommodate 110 passenger in all.

The airport bus is equipped with a Cummins ISB 6.7 diesel engine generating 250 hp, an automatic ZF gearbox, an ECAS for lowering the bus at stops.

Such airport buses are called-for in small airports conducting regional flights. Previously, they were purchased abroad, now they are replaced by vehicles manufactured in Russia.
