Testing of a new cutting fluid started at the united site of OAT Group, part of KAMAZ Group, in Tolyatti. VAZINTERSERVICE, Motor-Super, EVR will be the first to assess an alternative coolant.
The alternative cutting fluid branded ECOCOOL SOLUBLE 20 produced in Germany is currently being tested at the production shop of steering linkage and brakes of Tolyatti's VAZINTERSERVICE – on the GILDEMEISTER turning centre. This activity is carried out under the program for reduction of expenses for raw materials and materials for production. A representative of the alternative coolant supplier – an expert of Samara's Smazochnye Materialy – who had visited the plants in early May took part in preparation for testing. He managed mixing of emulsion and gave helpful hints to service engineers how to care for the fluid, improve the mixture.
The technologists will have to define biological stability of the new coolant, its greasy property, corrosion aggressiveness and compare with properties of the Swiss SWISSCOOL MAGNUM UX 200 coolant currently used. If the results are positive, the enterprise will more than halve spending on coolants.
