PROPOSALS IN TATARSTAN STRATEGY-2030 ARE DISCUSSED AT KAMAZ

KAMAZ hosted a visiting conference of the working group of Kama Innovation Cluster INNOKAM during which proposals in Strategy-2030 of the Republic of Tatarstan in terms of Human Capital Assets were considered.

The working group included representatives of Tatarstan ministries, petrochemical and automotive industries, and also local authorities and educational institutions. They are Oleg Pelevin, Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Economy, Natalia Kropotova, Deputy Head of Executive Committee of Naberezhnye Chelny, Evgeny Skrypnikov, HR Director of OOO Ford Sollers Holding, and others. KAMAZ was represented by Svetlana Mikheeva, Director of the Staff Development Department.

INNOKAM Association plans to organize a strategic session to formulate and offer proposals in Tatarstan's Strategy-2030 in which delegates fr om enterprises, educational organizations and representatives of local administrations of cities and regions of Kama Cluster will take part. The visiting conference held on the territory of KAMAZ's Multifunctional Centre of Applied Qualifications of Mechanical Engineering (MTsPK) is one of stages towards a strategic session scheduled for June 1.

"The development strategy of the Republic of Tatarstan is being revised. One of urgent problems now is shortage of skilled manpower deeply felt throughout the country and our region due to a rapid economic development, investment policy of the Republic of Tatarstan, emergence of new enterprises," Svetlana Mikheeva explained the purpose of the meeting. She noted the importance of joint work of colleges, key universities, enterprises and ministries of Tatarstan on retention of young qualified workers in Naberezhnye Chelny and Zakamye Region. Just this set of issues was discussed during the visiting conference: the interested parties discussed priority HR problems and solutions in a constructive way.

KAMAZ is one of experts and a key participant of all working groups for HR policy and staff development. The MTsPK was chosen for the visiting conference not by chance. The training centre as much as possible close to production was opened in the company in 2016 under the joint project with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan and became one of successful examples of private sector participation and investment in human capital assets. During the meeting, a tour of classrooms, laboratories and workshops of this innovative educational institution was conducted. "This is the territory wh ere we will more and more often meet guests, share experience and, most importantly, develop common solutions. Traditional solutions which are plain to see exhausted themselves. Now the republic needs breakthrough innovative ideas for HR policy," emphasized Svetlana Mikheeva.
