The large delegation of managers and experts of OAO Kirovsky zavod and its subsidiaries arrived at KAMAZ with a two-day visit.
The delegation included almost twenty representatives of Kirovsky zavod, and also its subsidiaries – Drilling Technologies Factory, ZAO Zavod Universalmash, AO KirovTEK, and others. They all came to get acquainted with the lean manufacturing system introduced at KAMAZ, and also adopt KAMAZ's successful experience in this area.
The working visits started with a tour of the Factory of Processes at the engine plant of KAMAZ where the delegates underwent a training in lean manufacturing.
Besides, the program of the visit included an introductory seminar devoted to lean tools. During the industrial excursion, the guests visited the automobile plant and the foundry where they were shown how lean technologies are applied at different benchmark sites. The second day was crowned with a visit to the Department of Lean Production where the participants of the seminar could receive answers to all their questions from KAMAZ experts.
KAMAZ's rich experience in lean manufacturing greatly interested the experts of the Kirov Group, because the companies have long been implementing lean production principles in their work.
