Х5 Bought More than 20% New KAMAZ Trucks in 2016

X5 Retail Group, one of the leading multi-format retail Russian companies in a strategic partnership with KAMAZ PTC (part of Rostec State Corporation) bought 250 trucks of new models - 200 truck tractors with capacity of 20 tonnes and 50 heavy-duty 15-tonne refrigerated vans.

KAMAZ vehicles are equipped with Daimler components - 11.9-liter turbocharged diesel engines compliant with the Euro-5 emmission standards.

The new vehicles of the company operate in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Samara, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk and transport large quantities of goods between distribution centers of X5.

X5 Retail Group and KAMAZ PTC signed an agreement on strategic partnership in June 2016. The company's cooperation under this agreement provides for the development of bilateral relations aimed at improving X5 Retail Group's transportation support system. The retailer buys heavy-duty vehicles at KAMAZ PTC and its authorized dealers, and also services purchased trucks at the company's official service centers.

Partnership with KAMAZ enables X5 to satisfy an ever-increasing demand for expansion of the fleet which is the most important part of a modern retailer's logistic infrastructure. New vehicles delivered by KAMAZ PTC for X5 Retail Group are a good alternative to European lorries not only in price but also in quality.

In 2016, X5 acquired 1,227 ISUZU, IVECO, HINO, KAMAZ, TSTTM and Schmitz trucks, trailers and semi-trailers in all.
