Quality Management System


The quality management system is a part of the enterprise’s general management system.

Making products competitive by quality and satisfying customers’ requirements and expectations is the Central Aim of OJSC KAMAZ in the field of quality and the basis of the company’s and its employees’ financial prosperity.

This aim is formulated in OJSC KAMAZ’s Quality Policy determining the underlying principles on which the company’s activity in the sphere of quality is based.

The quality management system is used as a means enabling to pursue the Quality Policy and achieve the set objects in the area of quality, and applies to all of OJSC KAMAZ’s departments and Associated Companies.

OJSC KAMAZ’s quality management system in the field of design, development, production and sale of trucks and chassis of trucks and buses, automotive components, spare parts and vehicle assembly sets, castings and forgings, tools and tool sets; repair and maintenance of trucks is acknowledged to meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 international standard (Certification Association “Russian Register”), GOST R ISO 9001-2008 (ISO 9001:2008) (GOST R certification system).

OJSC KAMAZ’s quality management system in the sphere of development, production, repair and maintenance of products of Classes 2320, 2510, 2520, 2530, 2540, 2590, 2815, 2910, 2930, 2940, 2950, 2990, 3010, 3020, 3040 (according to the Uniform Codifier of Issue Article) is acknowledged to meet the requirements of GOST RV 15.002-2003 (Voluntary certification system "Voennyi Registr" (Military Register)).

OJSC KAMAZ’s quality management system embraces all life-cycle stages of production: from marketing and designing to maintenance of finished vehicles purchased by customers.

The issues of quality assurance of the bought production are also regulated by OJSC KAMAZ’s management system. Relations with suppliers are based on cooperation, mutually advantageous methods of approach and prompt problem-solving.

Now the quality management system is being improved by means of introduction of the requirements ISO/TU 16949 and its procedures: APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP.
