Yury Gerasimov, First Deputy General Director of KAMAZ PTC – Executive Director, held a meeting with the staff of the frame and stamping plant and told about measures approved in the company for the further stable work. Till the end of March, the production is provided with orders. Now orders are being worked out for April and May, problems with components are being solved.
“The latest events are clear, sanctions are clear too. The company’s activity is related with deliveries from foreign countries – from Europe, which are stopped now. But the production of KAMAZ trucks is not stopped, the company continues working stably, and I will tell about measures taken by the company’s top managers, what we did and what should be done,” said Yury Gerasimov in his address to the workers.
According to his words, an order for March has been completely formed under current conditions. “The first spring month is worked out, and we have a clear vision of workload in March. We somehow adjusted our work on models in the second half of the month. Now we are working out components of the K4 and K5 lines and forming an order for April and May. Changes will be introduced in the model range. We expect a rate on the level of 180 vehicles per day,” said the top manager of KAMAZ.
Besides, a command center was established under the charge of Sergey Kogogin, General Director of the company. “Every day we work strenuously. Certain tasks are set to the Development Director’ Service, what and how to do, localize,” told Gerasimov.
Today the company is focused on increasing a share of Russian-made components in vehicles and localization of production of components which were imported previously. “I may say at once that now your professionalism and mastership will be especially in demand,” Yury Gerasimov said in his address to the KAMAZ workers. He told about certain projects for localization and stressed that these tasks for the company’s personnel are within their powers and doable.
“We are not the same. We have changed. In particular, the frame and stamping plant has lately been reequipped very well. For the present day, you are able to produce any frame. The designers and the chief technologist were given a task to find solutions to improve some design features of frames instantly,” said the executive director. He reminded that the KAMAZ production had been greatly updated in recent times, equipped with the latest machines, and the company’s engineers were ready to quickly and efficiently respond to changed working conditions and find new design solutions.
It is planned to renew the model range, and all employees will be given full occupation, assured the manager. “There is a program, and we will fulfill it carefully”, finished his speech Yury Gerasimov.
