HEAD OF KAMAZ TOOK PART IN THE RUSSIA-UZBEKISTAN BUSINESS-FORUM

General Director of KAMAZ PTC Sergey Kogogin spoke at the Russia-Uzbekistan business-forum held in Samarkand from December 1 to 2.

Under the large-scale business program of the forum, the organizers offered panel sessions, plenary sessions, sectoral B2B meetings. In the limelight are issues of transport and logistics, industrial projects, trade and economic cooperation, collaboration between Russia’s SMEs and Uzbekistan’s companies.

In his speech, Sergey Kogogin stressed that Uzbekistan was one of KAMAZ’s priority export markets. The company appreciates existing longstanding business and friendly relationships.

“For the latest years, our cooperation has moved to a new level. In 2017, we established a joint production of KAMAZ vehicles in the republic, launched a new chassis assembly line. By this day, under cooperation, for the economy and stronger security of Uzbekistan, we have sold more than 3,600 vehicles, created over 300 new jobs. We mastered the production of more than 30 types of special vehicles for diverse sectors of national economy. The model range of localized vehicles is ever-expanding,” told General Director of KAMAZ.

Besides, with account of the economic situation on the Uzbekistan market, as part of cooperation, the production of reliable and effective NGVs was mastered. Technical maintenance and spare parts support are provided.

“We see a great potential for expansion of cooperation and are ready to make every effort to strengthen our relations with enterprises of the republic and provide Uzbekistan’s customers with modern vehicles. Helping our clients accomplish identified goals, we not only sell vehicles, but also ensure branded service and spare parts. The dealership network of KAMAZ in the republic numbers 18 authorized service centers,” emphasized Sergey Kogogin.

The machine-building complex of Uzbekistan develops rapidly and dominates among CIS countries. In the global business sphere, the republic earned a great reputation of an honest and reliable business partner. Under the agreement on reciprocal export, the enterprises of the republic deliver auto components to the company’s main assembly conveyor, negotiate an issue on expansion of the parts range used by Uzbek producers of auto components.

“We highly appreciate the organization of work migration and are grateful to the Government of the republic for attention to this important issue. Thanks to the accomplished one-stop-shop principle, via the Agency for External Labour Migration of the republic, there is centralized selection of candidates for future employment in Russia, their prior training, and also further communication with employers. I’m glad that this part of our cooperation is also successful,” noted the top manager of KAMAZ. He added that, at the International Forum for Labour Migration held on November 23 of the current year, KAMAZ received an award from the Ministry of Employment and Labour Affairs of Uzbekistan. The company was awarded in the nomination Employer Who Created the Best Social Conditions for Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

“We lay hopes on expansion of our long-term multifaceted cooperation with Uzbekistan because this gives a good opportunity to combine the potential of two countries and enter the third markets with a competitive product,” summed up Sergey Kogogin.
