KAMAZ delivered a large batch of gas-engine NEFAZ 5299-40-57 buses to the passenger carrier AO Tretiy Park of Saint Petersburg. The company delivered 303 buses running on liquefied natural gas and 61 buses running on compressed natural gas.

In 2021, the authorized dealer of KAMAZ PTC – OOO TEKHINKOM PITER signed a contract for delivery and comprehensive maintenance of 364 gas buses to support the need for buses in Saint Petersburg. The vehicles help execute contracts for scheduled passenger operations under a transportation reform. The new buses entered the fleet of Saint Petersburg’s passenger carrier AO Tretiy Park. “There are certain routes for the new buses. This model has already been tested in this city to receive positive feedback from experts and passengers. The low floor bus with a kneeling system is convenient for all citizens, especially for wheelchair users,” said Kirill Dyakovskiy, General Director of AO Tretiy Park.

The NEFAZ buses are not only low-floor and disabled friendly, with modern fare system and charges for mobile devices, which is usual for municipal transport facilities. They also feature air conditioners and information media systems. The buses are painted sky-blue, which the passengers of Saint Petersburg have already become accustomed to.

“The NEFAZ-5299-40-57 model is one of the most demanded ones in the KAMAZ product portfolio. These buses have already been added to fleets of Perm, Kazan, Kuzbass, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Cherepovets, Obninsk, and Saint Petersburg. The buses will soon run along new routes of the northern capital of Russia. KAMAZ always carries out all obligations under contracts for delivery of passenger vehicles to its clients very well and timely. We are ready to continue promoting refreshment of the passenger vehicles fleet in Saint Petersburg by supplying present-day green vehicles,” commented Director for Passenger Vehicles of KAMAZ PTC, Samat Sattarov.
