28 February 2022

The vehicle fleet of Kazpost JSC received ten new KAMAZ-54901 freight trucks. Another 16 analogous vehicles will have been delivered to the company by the end of April.

The freight trucks of the K5 generation were purchased by the National postal operator of the Republic of Kazakhstan under terms of financial leasing via the Industrial Development Fund. The vehicles are adapted in their specifications for transportation of postal items.

“Our vehicle fleet numbers more than 2.1 thous. vehicles for now. These are passenger cars, trucks and armoured vehicles, vans, mail coaches, buses, special vehicles. The state and reliability of the vehicle fleet is crucial for transportation and delivery and Kazpost’s fulfilment of its obligations to clients. Therefore we systematically renew our technical resources, reduce wear-out of the vehicles, minimize operational costs, improve the drivers’ working conditions. And, what’s important, we reduce time of transportation and delivery,” told Zhanbota Bukenov, Managing Director for Network Operations of Kazpost JSC.

Besides, the representative of Kazpost noted that the company replenished its fleet with vehicles every year. Last year, it purchased 202 new vehicles of various versions and carrying payload assembled in Kazakhstan. It helped reduce wear-out of the vehicle fleet of Kazpost from 62.1% to 45.3%. Going further back, 64 new vehicles were purchased in 2020. And now the new KAMAZ-54901 special vehicles will go on linehaul routes.

“KAMAZ-54901 is a brand-new vehicle. This is a version with improved ergonomics, expanded cab space, new units and assemblies. The vehicle design is stylish and contemporary. We are glad that our KAMAZ trucks will run along postal routes of Kazpost,” noted Sergey Kistin, General Director of KAMAZ Engineering JSC.
