1000 KAMAZ Trucks for the Philippines

Over 1000 KAMAZ trucks can be delivered to the Philippines till 2020 under the memorandum of understanding signed between KAMAZ PTC (part of Rostec State Corporation) and the Philippines' company Lifetruck on May 25 in the course of the visit of Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte to Russia and the Russian-Philippine business forum.

The signatures to the document were affixed by Sergey Afanasiev, Deputy Director General of KAMAZ PTC for Sales and Service, and Joell Evasco, Director of Lifetruck International Incorporated. Considering that KAMAZ enjoys great potential prioducing a vast spectrum of high-tech vehicles and Lifetruck holds a strong position in the Philippines, the parties took a decision to cooperate promoting KAMAZ products on the Philipino market.   

Russia's largest truck maker is ready to meet a growing need in high-duty vehicles in the island state. Under the agreement, 1000 KAMAZ trucks or more can be sold on the Philippino market by 2020. A project implementation schedule, models of KAMAZ trucks for the Philippines and further steps will be coordinated by the sides later. By prior arrangement, the trucks to be delivered are KAMAZ-6520 dump trucks, KAMAZ-6460 truck tractors, as well as KAMAZ-65117 side trucks.

Lifetruck, in its turn, will promote KAMAZ products on the market in order to satisfy needs of small- and medium-scale enterprises of the whole region and support local industries. In particular, KAMAZ trucks will be operated in cargo transportation, construction and agriculture.

The memorandum also provides for cooperarion in maintenance of KAMAZ trucks. Supported by the auto giant and based on Lifetruck's facilities, it is planned to arrange a dealer and service network with a maintenance base in the entire country of the Philippines. The agreements achieved will be implemented step by step.
