BEGISHEVO CHECKS IN THE 500 THOUSANDTH PASSENGER

25 October 2021

This year’s half-millionth passenger was registered at Begishevo Airport, a subsidiary of KAMAZ. The rapid development of the route network and attractive ticket prices enabled to achieve such a passenger flow by October.

This year, Red Wings Airlines opened flights to Moscow (Domodedovo Airport), Surgut and Mineralnye Vody. Azimut Airlines expanded its route network with flights to Nizhnevartovsk. Ural Airlines opened flights from Begishevo to Dushanbe, Kulyab and Khujand. For the spring and summer 2021, charter flights were opened to Antalya, Cairo, Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh for the benefit of Anex Tour and Pegas Touristik tour operators.

For the first time in the latest years, Begishevo Airport reached the 2017 level of transported passengers – 500 thousand. Then the number reached 587,775 people and increased every year. However, due to the epidemiological situation, the year 2020 turned out to be turbulent for the entire aviation industry: only 429,665 passengers were checked in.

Begishevo Airport plans to serve at least 630 thousand passengers this year. New flights continue to open.
