Competition of Professional Skills at the Foundry

29 March 2017

A competition of professional skills was held among foundry workers in the non-ferrous casting production of the KAMAZ foundry (part of Rostec State Corporation).

Eight people from two shops of Foundry 3 of the non-ferrous casting production - permanent mold casting and low-pressure casting - took part in the competition. The jury assessed how the participants had implemented technological processes, shift targets and foundry quality. According to Aleksandr Zorin, member of the jury, Chief of Technological Department of Non-Ferrous Casting, only those foundry workers who cast metal but not produce a melt participate in the competition. "Besides, this competition was carried out without stopping production, the contestants are performing their usual work and cast the same molds like on a usual day - these are a cylinder head, a flywheel housing, a crown, and a collector," he emphasized.

As a result, third place in the competition was given to Ayzat Shavaliev, second place went to Ildar Zaripov, and Aleksandr Mannaev became a winner. Three best of the best will receive honorary certificates and cash rewards from the foundry.
