DELEGATION OF BELARUSIAN MECHANICAL ENGINEERS AT KAMAZ

KAMAZ PTC was visited by a delegation of Minsk Gear Works OJSC (Belarus) headed by its director Vitaly Sheleg.

As early as in April, a meeting between Minister of Industry of Belarus Pyotr Parkhomchik and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Aleksander Morozov was held in Minsk. General Director of KAMAZ PTC Sergey Kogogin was one of the members of the Russian delegation. Discussed were topical issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation in the production of various auto components, units, assemblies and microelectronics used in the manufacture of freight and passenger transport of the two countries.

At the initiative of the KAMAZ Technology Center, already in May, the specialists of the auto giant visited Minsk Gear Works, got acquainted with the production sites and the range of products. The parties agreed on plans for further cooperation.

And now the Belarusian colleagues are on their return visit. The delegation consisting of the top managers of the enterprise visited the cab assembly line and the main assembly line at the automobile plant, as well as the gear production workshop, the R6 and V8 engine assembly line at the engine plant.

The visit ended with negotiations on promising cooperation. Minsk Gear Works OJSC is the largest manufacturing enterprise for the production of gears and shafts. During the talks, the parties discussed issues of cooperation. In particular, the Minsk plant is to master a number of parts – gears for KAMAZ vehicles, KAMAZ gearbox 154, as well as parts for the axle gearbox, in order to provide the Russian spare parts market.
