KAMAZ PTC was visited by a delegation of representatives of the administration of Zainsk Municipal District and Accuride Wheels Russia LLC.
The delegation included Head of Zainsky municipal district Razif Karimov, Managing Director of Accuride Wheels Russia LLC Ivan Zhustrov, and other representatives of the district administration and the plant management. The guests were accompanied by First Deputy General Director – Executive Director of KAMAZ PTC Yury Gerasimov.
During the familiarization tour, the delegation members visited the welding and stamping production, as well as the Piemme spars profiling line at the press and stamping plant, the R6 engine assembly line at the engine plant, the cab assembly line and the main assembly line of the truck making plant. In addition, the guests got acquainted with the production technologies and the model range of gearboxes manufactured by ZF KAMA LLC.
The visit ended with negotiations on prospective cooperation. Accuride Wheels Russia LLC is the largest manufacturer of wheels for trucks and cars in Russia. For many years, the plant has been a supplier of rims and other auto components for KAMAZ.
“This is our colleagues’ return visit after our visit to the wheel factory in Zainsk a month ago. The enterprise produces disks and a number of other items for KAMAZ vehicles. Now we are working with the plant as part of import substitution. This is a complex work that is carried out by the development service, the procurement service, and, of course, production. We invited a delegation fr om Zainsk to develop further relationships in terms of import substitution. As a result of the meeting, a discussion was held wh ere we determined the next steps of interaction,” commented Yury Gerasimov, First Deputy General Director of KAMAZ PTC – Executive Director.
